Fairy Tales
A life that’s been hurled and thrown, far beyond our reach
People claiming perfection, but their words they never preach.
If life was like a fairy tale and ended with a kiss
Then I’m afraid I’ve lost mine, his heart I really miss.
With the days ending and the nights a setting sun
A total ‘nother nightmare, has really just begun.
A practiced pose and poised lips, a smirk marring your perfect gaze
Those hateful words that sink, its mark my heart it graze.
Perfected lies and a bittersweet smile
You almost make me feel worth while
But in the end with the darkness its spectrum quite amiss
Silence and my tombstone; a never-ending bliss.
