Jules is airborne; my heart is in airplane mode

Mirror mirror
Reverse Pastiche entry for tonight’s setback
Soft confidence broken by sweat trickle
Saying easy but we doing it harder
Self efficacy needed on low bar nights like these
Pickle Rick dark humour sure to tickle a smile out of me
If these walls could talk
Last night you were here; today you are just a mist spiking misty eyes
Leveled up from Ethiopia, or leveled down?
Karma awaits the blood turned oppressor
Last nights euphoria sits caressingly upstairs
Eye bags been tickled
Figdetted with your iPhone; talked about leaving your phone on charge. A part of me left with you;
It’s surreal how distance turns to turmoil.
Frustration with Emmy shared brain space too.
Self effacing 101; taking a step back; memorizing the biggest picture
Eulogizing the dead irrelevant past
Am I in denial ?
Lions den inside your head only if you let it.
Trying to stir my mind to remember
The happy past.
Time spent was a bang but why are bands of electrolytes streaking my cheek ? Electrifying days.
Trips to play Fifa what a playa ! Missed you bro
These days, I’d hold them close to my heart. Flawed love doesn’t hurt
Family became everything
Love pain resentment
Dead Phoenix burn these depressing thoughts and arise with a mule and acres of head space for more happy memories
Time would turn them to warm streaks
But for now I don’t care

Author's Note
This was drafted after the eve of 5th February, with my junior brother whom I love so dearly, travelling back to his home overseas, with no return date in mind. A lot of emotions ran through this piece. Anguish, helplessness and extreme sadness turnt turmoil. and a lot of dark wordery about my brothers predicament. Lots of strength required in these times. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. ‘Saying easy but doing harder’ is an ad-lib from my favorite artist Earl Sweatshirt.
