I Hate Getting The Finger

 


I keep myself confined at home
where most times I can just be me
sometimes I'm privy to a poem
as I lounge upon a knee

best behavior is what was taught
though my nature's not that way
it's when I act without a thought
that the gesture comes to say

there will be times that I must dare
as it seems it always goes
and then receive one of those stares
and that finger stuck toward my nose
