Lost battle
My heart was pulled in by your fire
My body trembled with desire
Passion that fed my soul
But so many mask you hold
The more I gave the more you took
Realizing I’m just another chapter in your book
You had a clean slate
You’re in your own way
Letting go is something you lack
Three steps forward and 5 steps back
I thought if I loved you harder and harder
you would really let me in
but my masked man
Even in the beginning your mindset was on the end

You had to get that off...couldn't hold it any more...and dropped it ...some spot at the door....did you tell him to leave...was he on hand and knee...how ever it went, you stood tall not bent. Yeah like that!

Love, it's amazing and also frustrating and hurtful.... The many mask one wears and the layers you have to go through to get to the real person and even then do you ever truly get to the real person. You pull they push, they pull you push, never ending cycle, but that is how one may know that person is not meant to be with them for the long haul. In my opinion when it's right, it will just fit and masks naturally come down. Nice flow.. Truth spoken.
