It started out so slow
A drop here and there
So I kept on walking
Completely unaware

The longer that i walked
The harder it came down
The further that i got
The more i looked a clown

I had no escape
For it was washing over me
Falling in relentless droves
A never ending sea

Not an inch was left untouched
It soaked my bare skin
But somehow i had felt that
It had touched me from within

The rain was not annoying
For it came from the heavens above
The water was simply a disguise
For what really washed over me was love

What started out so slow
Sped up, covering every part
That feeling from inside
Was when you touched my heart

As un controllable as rain
Love has found me anew
