Take Me Back
Take me back...
Just this one time
Take me back...
To when everything was fine
Take me back to when life was simple
Take me back to when songs had true rhythm
Take me back to all of the fun summers
Take me back to when we communicated by exchanging phone numbers
Take me back to when things made sense
Take me back to the times when we kicked it like it was 2006
Take me back to the days when love had meaning
Take me back to the days when we settled disagreements
Take me back to Myspace and Kodak cameras please?
Take me back to the quality time spent with members of my family
Take me back to when the dopest moments happened for a reason
Take me back to when every summer felt like a second season
Take me back to a time when friendships were meaningful
Take me back to when the events throughout the city were plentiful
Take me back to a time where my hometown use to thrive
Take me back to when Grandma Tidney, Pappy, and Thero was still alive
Take me back to those days spent in Pine Hill on the drive
Or the days in Quiet Hill when the city was in it's prime
Maybe the days spent on Reality Street when everything was in line
Days spent on Lane Street were one of a kind
Always chilling and brainstorming with similar minds
While dodging gossip and street stories that came through the vine
Take me back to when I had a thing for you
Take me back to when you had me twisted over you
To when I sat for hours in my room thinking about you
To the moment I decided to confess my feelings to you
Take me back to when communication wasn't an issue
Take me back to all of the fun moments we've been through
Take me back to how we use to disperse minor disputes
Take me back to all of those summer nights spent on the stoop
All the times spent traveling abroad
All of those times spent with the squad
Chilling in the lounge, playing with UNO cards
I miss those days really hard
Those are the days we'll never get back
So I look forward to creating newer memories
Sometimes I wish i could go back
But this journey of life has more of newer beginnings
Just this one time
Take me back...

Take me back to when life was simple
