Larger Love

When I was free to embrace the world    
the way I once loved her
    
I swear the flowers inclined  
to smell the sweetness on my skin,  
scent solace
the sun woke to my light    
illuminated with a hundred smiles
And counting
My positive words blew
a wind that could make any broken wing soar again    
      
There was something beautiful  
that she didn’t understand with her eyes open  
my hand was not meant to be locked
by her fingers    
She never pointed to whom I praise    
    
Why did I give it all to her ?!
Everyday now  
the universe tells me thank you in blessings.
My peace places good night on my pillow.
      
I’ve been taken
since the day I remembered to wake up
and say I love you to myself.
What is lonely,
when you inspire a world to give back?
