Wow, David, you really captured a thought here which is very relatable to me. As a fan of Pink Floyd, philosophy, and 'thinking outside of the box' this one really spoke to me.
If you get a chance, perhaps you would enjoy a few of my poems, namely "A Cog in the Machine" and "Empty Pleasures" - reflecting similar cynicism and challenging social norms of traditional society.
