Fate

Do you believe in Fate?
That there is a master plan for you?
Where your ultimate destiny is inevitable,
Unbeknownst to you?

Do you think that you have complete control over your life and actions?
That each choice you make sets your life's path?
A mostly random set of choices based on a self-determined goal,
And in the end, that is all there is?

Quite the extremes - don't we suppose?

But, what if it was a combination of both beliefs?
Where Fate is merrily there to guide and provide opportunity?
But ultimately, it is our freewill as humans,
That determine our happiness and success by the choices we make,
When given the guidance and opportunity to do so.

Just as we provide guidance to our children,
And give them opportunities to help them succeed.
Fate unravels life, and creates precious moments of opportunities,
Out of our daily doldrums.

It is up to us as humans,
To notice and live in those moments,
Decide to take that leap of Fate when opportunity presents itself,
And open our hearts to Love.

Those are conscious choices we can make everyday,
And in the end, our lives won't be a random set of choices we made,
But instead, it will be an enlightened purposeful life,
Where we loved each precious moment that presented itself.

Fate opens the door, but it is up to us to walk through it.
