CALM

My world mostly exists under the face of the dark sky
Where the daywalkers sleep
They are tucked away
Babies in their cribs
In their sleep, living in the ideal world that lies to them
As dreams...
In my reality
The one that sits on the fine line between sunset and sunrise
Where I gave up seeing the day long ago and sunrises never
In a world that is alone
Making me a part of its family
Sometimes it's not so bad sitting with my thoughts
Here beside me
No one interferes with our conversations
Keeping me thinking deep
Further than my mind wants to go
This calm
A gift the night gives
Allowing my brain to rid of society lurking on it
I eat too much because I have nothing to do
Drinking coffee, tea, then juice, more coffee...
Even if I wanted to sleep, my kidneys are constantly active
I have one eye open and one eye closed all of the time
The air seems different at night
Crisp and cool
Lighter and less polluted
That my mind floats on air
The world has drifted into a coma
This is the same world but parallel
Bringing them back with every sunrise
Then I fade away into oblivion
