In A Field Afar
There's ringing in my ear
a tug way deep inside
whispers, hushed but never sent
heard from mind to mind
a word felt to the core
when waves wash upon the shore
the moonlight and your eyes
watched from foreign skies
no claims, no checks
as balance tips the scales
heartbeats rumble in a starless night
no sleep needed or rest tonight
a blackbird awakens in search off all
I hear the call
I hear the call
no wonders, no worry,
don't live life in a hurry
the simple things are laid afoot
reach out your hand
and lift them up
let all our spirits rise
the window is open
feel my breeze
it touches deep
just because I'm not there to love you doesn't mean I don't love you
a tug way deep inside
whispers, hushed but never sent
heard from mind to mind
a word felt to the core
when waves wash upon the shore
the moonlight and your eyes
watched from foreign skies
no claims, no checks
as balance tips the scales
heartbeats rumble in a starless night
no sleep needed or rest tonight
a blackbird awakens in search off all
I hear the call
I hear the call
no wonders, no worry,
don't live life in a hurry
the simple things are laid afoot
reach out your hand
and lift them up
let all our spirits rise
the window is open
feel my breeze
it touches deep
just because I'm not there to love you doesn't mean I don't love you
