That Tough Old Dog

There he stands  
that tough old dog    
that mean old thing    
with teeth all out to bare    
That rough old boy    
his granite look    
the ice and iron      
in his stare    
     
Body worn    
ripped stitched and torn      
with more scars he has than hair    
still he stands    
that tough old dog  
in his fighting stance      
with a fighting chance      
and mighty things to dare
