The Worried
The imprecation of worry
splinters off
in all directions
peanut shells
scattered and brittle
crunched beneath
footsteps
Parts of us
mashed into fine particles
that the wind can't carry
lodged like a sliver
requiring tweezers
we can't evade
what is with us.
