If Dreams Were Wishes

I wish I could tell you I haven't kissed at least 10 frogs
And everyone of them wasn't healed from an absent mother
But they were...

I wish I could tell you that I've always known my worth and never took a peasants share...

I wish I could tell you that I never wished upon a star and never squandered my universal giftings,
That the constellations didnt follow my every word and I often spoke too soon...

I wish I could tell you that my heart hasn't time travelled,
Searching for the era that I lost you once before,
Hoping deja vus would lead me back to you...
I was told to hide so that my king could find me,
not realizing the doctrine of fools designed was only to blind me...

So side tracked, I journeyed, weathered and sorjourned like a beggar in a foreign land
On this soil I am,
Healing, masquerading, prophesying, and becoming blinded again...

It was my Father's doing to strap along side my warrior of my womb,
to lead us back to you,
Many miles we paved, lighting skies on fire by day and
Brushing residue of frost bitten, mind scathed
Bloodied knees, I pleaded with destiny to come see about me...

I wish I would tell you that my power has always been realized and I always used real eyes to recognize real lies, nah
I've played the fool too,
Probably more than I intended too
And my wishes often have come true,
It's never my desire to deceive you
Unlike the deception used to confuse the masses
I choose to be true to the reality of you being that dream come true...
