Conquering Dark

The roots of sorrow run deep in this cursed soil that is my soul and I bathe in the filth of it all only to ferment in my own decay

Wretched weeds writhe and crawl towards my long dead empty heart only to crudely cover it in the name of all lifes cruelty

The meadow that my soul once was now scorched by all my turmoil as the barren soil suffocates all the bliss that once lay there

All is dark in this cell I call my mind as all light fades out giving birth to shadow my thoughts surrender to the conquering dark

The beauty of life now lay in ruins corrupted by the stench of woe and in this dark place I espy a noose coiled amongst the rubble

My mind invaded by thoughts unkind flanked again by suicide I retreat further into this blackened void only to rest my neck in the ropes nylon embrace
