The wounded
Let us delve into loneliness
Both licking each other's wounds
Like wolves of different packs
Exiled into each other's arms.
We can count each other's stars
That slowly fade into nothingness
Like the days that pass like wind
And leaves like memories forgone.
And perhaps finally in time
A tear would escape our eyes
As the gravity of the world
Tosses us beneath the ground
So that someday we may perhaps
Learn how to cry again.
Both licking each other's wounds
Like wolves of different packs
Exiled into each other's arms.
We can count each other's stars
That slowly fade into nothingness
Like the days that pass like wind
And leaves like memories forgone.
And perhaps finally in time
A tear would escape our eyes
As the gravity of the world
Tosses us beneath the ground
So that someday we may perhaps
Learn how to cry again.
