Collective machine

Carelessly watching as chaos collapses the cages,
Only vaguely aware of uncertainty polluting the air,
You better observe
your time they don't deserve.
I've scanned from the skies and what have I seen?
We are components
of a collective machine.

What did we earn from trading time for lost value?
Docile and aimless we live by the rules
empty and silently screaming without you.

Such a surprise!
A look of subliminal shock in your eyes
Through cloudy skies
Love can no longer be seen
only a multitude of malfunctions
in this machine.

Raving and roaming they jumped from the edge with a shriek...
Grave upon grave of exhausted entities
still crawling through chaos with nothing but silence to speak.

Have you looked around?
The time is gone!
You better wake up
and live while you can
get out on the land and try to understand.
