Searching

I walk amongst the stones,
These pebbles have witnessed an ageing,
Years of change and growth,
Confusion, stress,
Love and angst.

I visit here to be alone,
It is home for me,
A sanctuary of hope,
Love lost and love gained,
And yet I still feel the same.

I search for peace here,
I wait for returns
Which never appear,
I relish in memories,
Years gone by,
Stages within a life,
All interlaced within this tapestry.

This place is home,
To my inner soul,
All that I am
All that I was,
Stands here today,
Continuing the search.
