The search goes on
Reach into thyself
and pull out thy glory.
Thy higher self dwells deep within,
tells you to love and create your own story.
We say, "hey god (aka self)
why has this happened?
Why me?
Can't I have everything I want?
What's my purpose?"
Higher self says, "hey children,
take some deep breaths,
quiet those monkey mind thought loops.
Take a moment to be
here and enjoy the moments."
We say,
"That's not enough for us."
"There's something missing in my life
and I don't know what it is.
I see something wrong with this situation
and I don't know what to fix."
And the search goes on forever
till you run out of time.
Out of time and
you want it all back.
"Give it back"
Eternal self says, "no can do,
that's the way it goes.
Now take some deep breaths child,
it's time for you to incarnate
for eternity."

“If I judiciously control my intake of cannabis, it like gives me a second wind and a third wind to go forward with creative activity.
“Now if you just sit down and smoke into a stupor, you’re not going to be able to do this. But if you just stop this now tiresome and boring activity [writing after three hours] and have a couple of puffs of cannabis and then you sit and have a few interesting thoughts, and you feel completely revitalized and able to go back to it.” - Terence Mckenna

You couldn't be more right, in this lovely write.
We are always wanting more, seeking, yearning for the next high, thrill, or even just the next moment of fleeting joy; a kind compliment, a crescendo in music, a new idea to tinker with, a new inspiration, or the next climax in the novel of life. This anticipatory state of existence keeps us searching for purpose, drives us to continue to grow, learn, and, better ourselves, and to seek out bigger, better things in this life, but it can also be very stressful. Sometimes we just have to break the cycle and take a break from the constant demands of our own minds. But we can never get too comfortable, lest we become too sedentary, for once we've stopped growing, we're no longer living.
