The first kiss is the sweetest
The last bittersweet
Everything in between
Distant memories that I keep
Passion that we shared
Our connection palpable
Electricity sparked
Raw and cannibal
To feel the heat
Others longing for a taste
Kisses dripping with honey
Never given in haste
I recall our first kiss
I have forgotten the last
Loving you was desire incarnate
Lingering vividly in my past
The years have passed
No longer together
We loved and lost
That desire unsustainable
Do you seek in others
What we had together
I have searched in vain
Left to remember forever

A beautiful, heartfelt poem with an excellent flow... Sounds like someone set the bar for you that has yet to be filled again. It gives me a very bittersweet feeling inside. Does true love every really die?
