Siren's Call
She licks her lips seductively when she talks
As if they were deserts
Insatiably dry
And barren of authenticity.
Like a siren’s song out at sea
Her giggles crescendo when she feels following eyes
She’s a master puppeteer
Never lying
But always pulling at all the right strings.
She has wielded her flaws into a jeweled armor
Protecting herself with a self proclaimed beauty
It’s mesmerizing enough to set down your own chainmail.
And as her Sahara lips hinge open to reveal
Infinite rows of sharp, gleaming teeth
As she’s sinking them into your flesh
And warm ruby droplets run down your skin
You can’t help but think
She needs this to survive.
So you welcome the piercing sensation of her parasitic fangs
And the dizzying venom, numbing your nerves
It gives you purpose
Which is exactly what you’ve been looking for.
