What Am I To You?
Don't judge a book by its cover
Just because of my wheelchair I can't be your lover?
I shudder at the thought that I will always be judged and never be loved
But I guess that certain things can't be touched or rushed
I hate waiting almost as much as I hate stupidity
Do I look like I give a flip about your pity?
I'm just trying to live as normal as I can be
I know that the truth is sweeter than candy
But I don't care- I grew up on lies so it's nothing new
I have a question though- what am I to you?
Am I a person or a chair Usually I don't care
but I want to know the place all the way through before I put my heart there I don't have time to waste so be real, with no haste I'm tired of the pain that lies create
I have so much that I can put in a crate
But don't feel sorry because every day is a clean slate
But don't be fake-
I hardly need a Barbie Because I don't want to show up to a party
I'm not invited to
So be true-
what am I
to you?
Just because of my wheelchair I can't be your lover?
