The Cure
https://youtu.be/nW9Cu6GYqxo
One night wouldn’t be enough
To burn you from my body
To purge you from my memory
To cure me of this need.
Lazy days, uncounted,
To kiss, to play, to fuck
Until we knew every inch of each other
Inside and out.
Every line, every scar,
As familiar as our own separate flesh.
The scent of your skin,
The texture of your lips,
The urging, teasing, seeking stroke
Of your fingertips.
My hands on your face,
Your tongue tied to mine,
Breathing you in
As you breathe me out.
The pounding of your heart
The perfect echo of mine
As together we rise and fall
To the rhythm of your stroke.
The swell breaking in to a flood
Gasping, pleading,
My only desire met
By the look in your eyes,
To doze then, to talk and dream, to laugh and weep
Unfiltered, safe and unafraid,
And hour-by-hour, to merge our bodies
Over and over
Until one of two things would happen -
Either we would ourselves burn out for good
Or come to realise that we never will.
One night wouldn’t be enough
To burn you from my body
To purge you from my memory
To cure me of this need.
Lazy days, uncounted,
To kiss, to play, to fuck
Until we knew every inch of each other
Inside and out.
Every line, every scar,
As familiar as our own separate flesh.
The scent of your skin,
The texture of your lips,
The urging, teasing, seeking stroke
Of your fingertips.
My hands on your face,
Your tongue tied to mine,
Breathing you in
As you breathe me out.
The pounding of your heart
The perfect echo of mine
As together we rise and fall
To the rhythm of your stroke.
The swell breaking in to a flood
Gasping, pleading,
My only desire met
By the look in your eyes,
To doze then, to talk and dream, to laugh and weep
Unfiltered, safe and unafraid,
And hour-by-hour, to merge our bodies
Over and over
Until one of two things would happen -
Either we would ourselves burn out for good
Or come to realise that we never will.
