tales from the looney bin
the edge of time is calling
my ringer is in the toilet
it's not taking messages
you left your calling card in shit
scribed on the walls of my heart
I confessed my love
you received the message
with smug satisfaction
stood me up on prom
you had a long-term
engagement at the madhouse
where you perform Judy Garland songs
the record keeps skipping
but you shuffle along
with Thorazine dreams
and Haldol nightmares
looney tunes are playing in your head
you're Wily coyote
I'm the roadrunner
beep, beep you're going to slow
take me out back
and we'll toast with a smoke
to an end of our madness
here, here
they'll lobotomize me tomorrow
the edge of time is calling
and I have to take the call
we have your soul here Crimsin
she made it home without you

I've spilled madness
but not nearly as well as You did here, Beautiful Sister
(i never ever want to be under the influence of Thorazine again - wicked drug)

My dearest Brenda this ink hits deep to my core. "" NORMAL vs ABNORMAL"" the tight rope we walk every day in our selves mind is one not ever steady ever. My mother was Bipolar, lost a nephew suicide from PTSD, I myself had a few Physic visits through my years from mental and physical abuse, I remember as far back as three. 💊💐🌹
I tell you this not have anyone feel sad for me. I put this stain ink here now, cause we are good friends DU, My dearest Brenda. Just letting you know I have walked the tight rope many times and just holding out a hand to help steady. My Friend Crimson...💕🌹

This stirs with illumination of the dangers of certain medication. You release with such honesty, it difficult not to be moved by your torn introspection. Be kind to yourself Bren.

This feels much like some of the things I've penned straight out of my nightmares. As Shrek says, better out than in. I love you...

Crimmy,
That's awesome. It's light, yet deeply dark. Loved it.
Great last two lines, too.
Love,
Matthew.
PS. I didn't see you at the dance at Bellevue...and I had my new straightjacket on to impress you.
