messy Bessie
"She’s living in a Bessie world,”
those of us who lived with her
would always say.
Though
devoted
loving
playful
loyal
intelligent
hunter
Bessie loved dumping trash cans and strew contents all over the house! (Grrrr. . .)
Definitely living in a “Bessie’s world!”
A memory that sticks for me:
Laid out dog food under the patio table
hid within an outdoor shed
pigeons huddled for the biscuits
out of seemingly nowhere
Bessie darts over in hunter-mode
springs into the air where she
knows where the pigeon will
take flight and be!

Supplement dog food with meat.

Kept seeing lots of feathers all
Over the place!

Yes, that was one special Beastie.
I remember when she got "fixed" we couldn't let her sleep with the other 3 dogs and 2 cats while her stitches were helping her to heal, yet she refused to sleep alone. So until she healed, I laid bedding down in the kitchen and slept with her every night until she was whole. She became "mine" from that time on.
