Putin wants government to "take charge" of Rap Music

In a perfect world where, class, racism, sexism, persecutions for being and thinking differently, cultural bias, gender equality, poverty, crime, disparity in education, housing the job market, physical and mental health issues did not exist and everyone had the same rights and opportunities there would be no music that speak of those conditions, how it effect people and the term societal disenfranchisement would not be a known thing. Rap music is the child of Reggae music, with a particular sub set of the music called roots rock Reggae or culture Reggae accompanying the party having a good time mood theme of the music co-joining the transition into the evolution of toasting (speaking/rapping in phrases/verses) over music. Music and musician worldwide and in every great society and empire has written and sung about the issues that plagued their societies at the time of their existence. Culture Reggae and it's artists has from it's inception took on the responsibility of being the voice for the voiceless. The collective musical soul of the poor, the disenfranchised, the ill treated and the agent provocateur to expose government corruption and injustices. Rap music has become much bigger and more grandeur that Reggae music. But from the days of block parties, hookie parties, rent parties and parties in the park the voice of the voiceless, the voice of poor people, the voice of the ghettos was embedded in the music itself from way way back on the Island of Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean. Like all music genres as they evolve and birth new subsets, the core, a part of the parent DNA gets passed down into the new creation of music.
 
Rap music has become global, it has not for a long time been called, American music or black people's music (even though it is and always will be, pay Homage), rap music is world music, international music because it is global. Where ever in the world there are ghettos, injustices, corruption, brutally, the denial, restrictions, or eradication of basic fundamental human rights rap music and artist will be the voice of the masses. I think of rappers/conscious rappers as elected street officials elected to bring about the concern of poor people to a broader audience in a way that we all can understand in a feel good way. Rap music is the conscience of societies infested with inequalities.  
 
Russia is no different, the old iron curtain is not immune from the influences of the youth movements striving to make the world they will inherit one day free from the mismanagement of the adults holding on to old world non progressive ideologies. Putin knows he is not immortal and he cannot stop the changes happening in his country. In order to supplant his misconceptions on the culture of rap music for the future beyond his power by letting the Russian government control the rap music industry to try to prevent the inevitable. The voice of the Russian youths must and will be heard. In the current online media frenzy it is hard to keep things on the hush. This is the only way for Putin to keep the old iron guards happy by letting the state regulate the flow of rap music and its contents. He is basically subverting the self determination in the country's young people. Russian youths have found a formidable tool to use to express themselves and to bring awareness to the social conditions in their country. Putin should accept and ride the wave of civil awareness to better his standings as a progressive leader who believes in the idea of freedom of expression and speech. Perhaps one day he do a hook on a future Husky (Dmitry Kuznetsov) music track.  
 
The voice of ghetto people will not be stifled. Imagine if the Jewish people living in the Warsaw ghettos during world war two had a tool such as rap music to aid them in their struggles to not let them be exterminated and forgotten. Maybe the world would have paid attention and acted sooner. Imagine if the Africans in the Congo had rap music, maybe King Leopold II reign of terror would not have reached the level it did. Hmm, Steve Biko, and Nelson Mandela as rap stars, what would South Africa look like now. Would Africans American during the Jim Crow and Civil Rights movement voices be heard across the world and forced a change much earlier than the sixties.  
 
We have a wonderful and tremendous platform to speak for those too afraid to speak for themselves. The majority of youths world wide are sick of racism, poverty, and are tired of  the Injustices of today and yesteryear. Rap Music is King. Use it or lose it. Show support. Rap World Unite!
