Lustful Arrogance

I resisted once.
forced my way
through some great
tale, of truth and justice

but then I knew passion
scented skin
clumsily adorned
in cheap silver

caught in the
craze of disorientated
youth, escaped
and liberal in their love

taking the meal
and biting the hand
sweeping the crumbs
aside

lust is just like
love, in fact
but no nooses
around my limbs

oh, sure
there have been
ruptures of delirium,
but truth prevailed

and now
stumbling
through the marshes
of another's bedsheets
I am appeased

for now, at least.
