The Badlands
A snake in the grass
A rattle
And a velvety black tongue
These things captivate me
But I know
To not get too close
I wish I knew that with you

That can be the truth at times.
Sorry, I've been away for a while(I had a blackness in my skull that took over my whole body, and skull, but I found out it was just indigestion. lol).
Enjoyed that, though.

A beauty of poetry is that it can capture a moment and make it as eternal as the medium allows (someday bye bye internet, pages, etc). I was feeling angry with my partner, wrote this poem, and probably hours later was just fine. But this sentiment is neat, and I put it in a gilded cage for my little museum :)
