a wake in sleep

Michael, Michael,
may I sleep
in hibernated shelters keep
first snowfall finds me watching Halloween
with cranked up heat

in my Jeep
winters keep

cranked up heap
temp has rose
each petal withered to repose
budding infant chlorophyll
autumn destined to enclose

winters weep
springs to reap

wild winded doubt that rose
each petal knout to oppose

each wing lined by nights decay
butterfies hurried by lights dismay
fluttersby drought endless scene
angels shout endless serene

the fallen dead, youth springs ahead
all amiss asleep in bed
