Wilting
They say your body is a temple,
Full of the mind and the spirit.
They say your supposed to love yourself.
But I can't fathom why I couldn't possibly love mine.
My body is a flower,
But I am wilting.
Every day a petal falls.
My mother always told me to work hard in life,
And that the goddess will take notice,
And she will grant you a long happy life.
They say your body is a temple,
Full of the mind and spirit.
And to cherish it.
But I don’t have the strength to cherish mine,
I’ve never loved myself,
And why the hell start now.
They say your body is a temple,
But it’s not anymore.
He broke down the doors,
And forced himself in.
He violated me,
He broke down my doors,
He ignored the caution signs.
He ruined my life.
Full of the mind and the spirit.
They say your supposed to love yourself.
But I can't fathom why I couldn't possibly love mine.
My body is a flower,
But I am wilting.
Every day a petal falls.
My mother always told me to work hard in life,
And that the goddess will take notice,
And she will grant you a long happy life.
They say your body is a temple,
Full of the mind and spirit.
And to cherish it.
But I don’t have the strength to cherish mine,
I’ve never loved myself,
And why the hell start now.
They say your body is a temple,
But it’s not anymore.
He broke down the doors,
And forced himself in.
He violated me,
He broke down my doors,
He ignored the caution signs.
He ruined my life.
