clear day  
sun was setting  
on the mountain  
bare trees dappled  
glowing shades of pink  
restless branches swayed  
 
light playing  
between shadows  
deer ran  
their spirits barely  
touching earth  
clouds of white tail  
marked their ghostly appearance  
and they were gone
