The Mechanic

Slick oiled hands
Ageless and full of grime
Experienced and he understands
the pain, hurt and crimes ~
of the heart.

To heal and using correct tools
he knows it takes care and time
when dealing with fragile souls and
leaking water pumps.

Painstakingly, he devotes all his resources
to heal the broken / nurture the ill.
Not asking for much in return
where cash may not be enough
there is retaliatory friendship.

Love may be just the wrench that upsets
the entire mechanical motion.
