Hope

I feel like i'm drowning,
Sinking down into the abyss
No hope of surviving,
Dragged down by my sins

No point if i struggle,
I have no will inside me left
So i shut my eyes tight,
Waiting sorrowfully for my death

But in the dark i saw your light,
A bright light of the spring
With you now i feel alive,
With you i feel like i can breathe

God had mercy on my soul,
He gave me an angel from above
And from the depths of the abyss,
I rise stronger than before

Finally i am reborn,
From the dark i ascent,
And with a smile on my face,
I see the sun once again.
