Snowflake

Snowflake, thou art uniquely beautiful
I adore you, that much is irrefutable.

I wish to sing your praises
and to celebrate
the sense of wonderment
and awe that you create.

You are special and sublime
delicate, fragile, crystalline
Mid air, floating from the sky
I hold you in my mind’s eye
Trace your path gracefully
as you flutter so tastefully.

Snowflake,
I sense a slight tremble
Let not that gust of wind
offend you.

Join in with your brethren
Safely amassed in connection
Atop snow capped peaks
Each snowflake alike but unique.
 
Yours is a simple message
that travels far and wide
Of a tweeting bird, inspiring me
to rise up with a sense of pride.

Snowflake,
if only I could protect you,
defend you, isolate you
from the dark forces
of ‘Antifa’ that depress you.

It overwhelms me
takes away my breath
Swells my veins
puts a twinge in my chest

When I think of you, Snowflake
But don’t mind me
I know you feel entitled
in your grandiosity.
