I love thee.
You say that like it’s a good thing.
As though you don’t know what it implies
Or that it twists me and the knife deeper inside
I feel so numb, I can barely breath
I try to vent and set the focus
Only there’s something blocking
Blocking the perfect picture I mean to seize
But you, you just can’t see
That what you do just messes with me
I don’t mean to stress the point
But it’s not petty problems in my eye
You’ll be the destroyer of me
With your infantile trickery
When you say “I love thee.”
As though you don’t know what it implies
Or that it twists me and the knife deeper inside
I feel so numb, I can barely breath
I try to vent and set the focus
Only there’s something blocking
Blocking the perfect picture I mean to seize
But you, you just can’t see
That what you do just messes with me
I don’t mean to stress the point
But it’s not petty problems in my eye
You’ll be the destroyer of me
With your infantile trickery
When you say “I love thee.”
