This has so much pain and agony in it and rightfully so. After all, you have been used for your purpose to be cast away and no longer needed in the sense of being a soldier. Although, as a separate entity, much more. You have had your light dimmed and forever more will you go without that sweet respite, sadly. At the end of the day though, are you still a warrior. I'm so glad you can find comfort in writing about all of your losses, you do it with ease and I'm in envy of that.

you dont suit envy you write the most wonderful poetry and I am envious of your skills and talent for erotic verse. I am pretty useless at that and you do it so well :-))))))))))))

Thank you, David. I just wish I could write about heartache and pain. Then would I probably not wish to with depression as the result. Keep it up but I do challenge you to an erotic write. *big grin*

A very moving poem - and the back-drop to it unfortunately all too true; soldiers used and abused. And now you are a warrior through the power of the pen.
