The clock ticks with a thunderous boom
Each second louder than the last
Every minute is a lifetime
Days are millennia
The warmth of joy, a stranger
Present for a moment, ever passing
Darkest hours stretch through eons
Reluctantly reside inside the void

That void can be a fearsome beast. And no matter how many people say "you're not alone"...inside our heads, we really are, aren't we? I understand the feel of this one, intimately...

Yes we are unfortunately. And it always seems to come back around. You kind of just get used to it, but not really.

I enjoyed the dark theme and the descriptive words you used. Great job! Comfort and contentment are fleeting, so we must hang on to them when we find them, because they will soon be gone.
