World of Love
everything’s a black and white movie scene
crimson red lips stand out
with hazel eyes calling me in
my heart beating out my chest
all around there’s storms spinning
besides the calm that barricades us
fills me with an overwhelming feeling
aren’t we all looking for this moment?
more colors emerge
storms dissipate
sky turning blue with yellow sun peeking through
it reveals there’s a world of love
so I hold my hand out to see
will you take it and venture with me?
love is this two way street
it’s not a privilege or a given
I know you need to feel it too
so I work for it
keeping up with this partnership
grabbing hold we move into a life together
summon our demons for only two reasons
to protect us from harm, and to make love
any other time we frolic in bliss
flowers everyday not because I have to
but because I want to
knowing love can be fantastic
but only when it’s meant to be
if one day I find this to be just a dream
then let me lay my head back down
because this time together
has been heaven

Love is a lotta work to keep it strong. But it is its own reward and well worth the effort and energy it requires. Beautiful :-)
