(My) Sounds of Sightlessness
Visually,
I heard everything!
• ants methodically searching for the colony
• a leaf, now dislodged, crashing upon grass slivers of wet green
• her voice astrally floating - a whisper in and on the wind
Goddamnit!
This headache is so............!
Acidic rain is a constant now for me
keeping my face moist and vision blurred.
Visually,
I didn't see it coming. . .
I saw only white flowers,
Lilies of a valley
& twenty or thirty years left
of Blessings and Bliss.
Nope, I didn't see shit:
her vehemently leaving
spitting out my name and heart
like morning breath stuck to the insides
of bleeding gums, unseen.
I am now a puddle of saliva
hoping for evaporation knowing full well
no hope exists
save for the strange dreams and waking nightmares
that have recently begun
to haunt and enslave me as ~
I keep forgetting to shield myself on purpose.
I hear her coming again.........
shshshshshshshshshshshshsh. . .
