The Shining

Through the arching magnolia tree,
The half-moon shines the leaves;
A canopy,
She believes.
A bared and natural siren
Of past sunset charms,
Her lithe flesh,
supple and fresh:
Nipples peaking through her smile.
She lingers awhile.
Each deepening breath, astonished;
Unadmonished.
Like Venus brought to ground,
Desire bound.
She shreds his skin to suck the marrows
Of his ever-hungry gallows.
Neither witch nor curse
But lover, is that even worse?
