The Future

The sun has turned scarlet red
and yet the sky is blacker than black
the wind no longer blows it inhales
it is drawing the breath for inside my soul
despite the strong red sun I am so very cold
but warmth emanates from the blackened sky
acid rain flow upwards to the black sky
the ground beneath me becoming barren
all its moisture vacuumed slowly skyward
the crops have failure written on them
the meat we ate are all rotting carcases

The science that we all relied on, debunked
the logic and reason illogical and unreasonable
the god that was never their was never there
not for Islam or Christian and not for the Jews
the greatest bullshit story ever told, now untold
the race war was over so much blood was shed
the elites in their ivory towers made it all happen
and until fairly recently serfdom was our lot
the rapes and the tortures were all but sport
the sport of self appointed kings, taking what was wanted
the stench of death and diseased living corpses
saw the elites beckon their warranted demise

It was in their debauched state that the disease originated
an airborne auto immune virus laying waste to all
where no one is immune, some die slower that others
what did we expect, to threaten mother nature
to destroy it with impunity, the ultimate force of will
dinosaurs had their time, humans have had their time
earmarked for extinction, the planet has boundaries
and we have constantly overstepped the mark
what if its the insects that will have their day
my words and records will be trampled under foot
and made food for the take over hordes of clicking
and so the book is closed its finality is final
as mother nature continues to search
for the ultimate being
