Prison of My Heart
Everywhere that I look, I see your face,
Everywhere that I go, I hear your voice.
Tears well in my eyes, and stream down my face,
To see you again, if I had the choice.
You're all around me, yet nowhere near me,
Dearest darling, why must love hurt so hard?
I wish to see you, I wish to be free,
From this barbed wire prison of my heart.
It cuts deep into my soul, this prison,
You are forever engraved on my heart,
Without you, I am but half a person.
To perfect love, is a delicate art.
I never really wanted love before,
Now, I've never wanted anyone more.
