I finish this early
evening off as I
have so many
others

sitting in a large
comfortable
chair, drinking
a cafe mocha
and watching
the sunset

all the while
pondering
this strange
and, at times,
uncertain road
I have been on

it has not turned
left nor right

in point of fact...

it hasn't gone
anywhere
at all
