Anonymity

The early onset
Of a strange creature
Places the
Inner workings
Of this mind
On trial
By other bodies
Who have been
Here
Longer
In cyberspace-
Herding over
These
Artifacts
Of belonging
Prepared
To try, convict
And indict me
Over
“One”
Yet I find
Myself
Still
Surrendering
All objectivity
In hopes
Of rubbing
Elbows
Alongside
The least
Of you.

(Original)

the anonymity that is 1st introduced
at the onset of a “strange creature”
will eventually be devoured by eyes
who herd over these bodies of writing;
which means that they can now
try, convict and even indict me
in cyberspace
over these “articles of belonging”
And I am simply ill
from surrendering all objectivity...
longing to rub elbows
with the least of you.
