feel good lost (reprise)

''o' earth, what changes hast thou seen?
there where the long street roars hath been
the stillness of the central sea—

the hills are shadows, and they flow
from form to form, and nothing stands...
like clouds, they shape themselves and go.''

(a ghost in my coffee,
there's a goddamn
ghost in my coffee,)

a ripple in the air,
a thrum in my chest,
and black birds right outside
the patio door,

silence is screaming,

in my braincase,
silver diving bells sinking,
mythic medley,
headache now,

sin,
grins,
monotony,

so much it wouldn't
matter either way,

an age-old hunger
eating earth and
all its morsels of
light, frail, stranded,
behind the scenes,
our eyeballs moving
rapidly through a
sleepwalk-dazed
black comedy
rotgut,

and everyone scared shitless.

the same, old shark
eating the same, old fish.
