growing old...
If it isn't one thing... it's another...
at least most of my parts are still functional
and I'm presentable in public.
I expect we all become more frail with age...
Not unlike an automobile, we depreciate,
becoming all the more valuable, especially if we have been maintained.

Very interesting view on the effects of time and the possibilities that it presents to our choices of intervention
within its processes.
I liked it a lot!

I'm honored, Tak...
to have such accolades from you...
I am pleased no end
to have pricked the ears of your inner poet. Ely

Sweet Ely❤️
I have these feelings to some degree dear heart. In fact it’s not so much the physical part of old age, as much as knowing your nearing the treashhold of death at such an accelerated rate. Sometimes it consumes me, it’s awful.
Anyway, this’s is a very interesting write you have here .

Thanks, Jackie... I am doing my best to avoid undue acceleration... that's why I go to the gym three days a week.
I figure we all gotta go sometime... so... why worry when? That just cuts into the enjoyment of what's around you and gets your blood pressure up...
It's like having a test in school... fer Crissake don't WORRY!! You either know the material... or you don't. That won't change before test time and worry fucks with your head, so stop worrying. you will either pass or fail. Worry will not help you pass. hugs, Ely

Well maintained and presentable you are indeed Ely. You are doing good....but I know what you mean. It is creeping in slowly and then suddenly you notice. From there it's like doing ones best under the given circumstances.

I go on my rowing machine everyday and have watched my 'personal best' go down and down for the last 15 years. But when I compete within my own age-group I do o.k and feel better. The later years though don't half go fast, don't they just?

Hey, Josh...
maybe we just don't remember
but half the things we did ... and
that's how come we're so exhausted
after doing next to nothing
the day before... Ely
