The Greedy And The Hungry Went To War...
guilty and innocent were keeping score
one step into dark, one step into light
a dance macabre betwixt wrong and right
to the boil they came together and cried
the greedy fed on fears, the hungry died
how could their minds murmer lest we forget
while trampling to oblivion their debt
the greedy and the hungry went to war
weeping and wailing grew just as before
one step to the left, one step to the right
for a tiny crumb an eternal fight
to the boil they came together and cried
greed yet rampant, hunger unsatisfied
how long will they murmer lest we forget
the rhythm of the drum is beating yet
the greedy and the hungry went to war
the fierce argument between rich and poor
a hit for the left, a hit for the right
continuing every day and night
to the boil they came together they cried
the heated argument of shame and pride
each side will be broken lest we forget
each fall to their knees in speechless regret
