Silly questions

Does snow really expire?
If it does not melt away by the sun
Does it eventually taste like a rubber tire?
As the coldest of winter has begun

The snow has lasted for a week
Over two feet of snow on the lawn
For many warm weather they hoped to seek
Still snow scattered but not completely gone

Rain melted the remains of it away
Only in time more shall come
For now winter is here to stay
As kids build snowmen while chewing their gum

Does snow become harder over time?
Or is it soft and mushy like mud?
The best snow is freshly falling in it's prime
As it falls off the tree's with a thud

Should snow have a expiration date?
With a day dot to the hour and day
Does anyone understand or relate?
As the sky slowly turns cloudy and grey

The temperature may effect the outcome
Barometric pressure as well
Texture and thickness of snow matters to some
To throw a snow ball and raise hell
