The pubs still have the same name in the little country village where I grew up but which is now part of Greater Manchester - although The Unicorn has now closed, I hear.

That is so sad... I have seen it happen too. There is no going back...it doesn't exist.

I had two homes in my entire childhood. One burned, the other is now a gravel pit. No stores ever lasted in the town I grew up near. And the area I grew up in went from rural to suburb.
I'm sure Hawaiins have it the roughest.
