Moon, Lunar
Moon, Lunar
Oh,
how I wish I could steal you away and cage you happily.
I cannot wait for the dark to return so we can be together once more.
I have loved you in all our previous lifetimes and I will love you to the next.
I love you like the dawn loves the dew, like the wolf loves the moon,
like the tides love the moon –
like I...
love you.
No one holds me quite like you when darkness creeps in,
your gentle light whispers sweet-nothings in my ear.
Every ray of your light brings such peace and joy in this heart -
Our souls are tethered for all eternity. The skies of blue that reside in your eyes serenade the coming of the tides, harvesting the fruit of our labour of love.
Tell me what your heart wants,
tell me what your heart needs?
I would write your name in the sky,
but you already live there.
My words escape me yet flourish from the pages.
But what am I,
but just a glimmer in the galaxy of your existence?
If you suddenly forget me,
look for me inside you,
for I have made you my home.
A resident of your heart I have become. Mysterious you remain,
a mystical celestial sphere bewitching this heart –
this man who cries wolf.
I look out the window,
admiring from afar,
wishing to you my brightest star –
for my prayers to keep you in the safety of my tender embrace,
exiled into the galaxy’s canvas,
my brush brings you to life.
Right now, is all there ever is – I imagine you here with me.
